The Youngest Exoplanet!

As we know all planets in our solar system have born from a dusty disk surrounding the sun billions of years ago, so wouldn't it be exciting to see another star system going through the phase of producing exoplanets!

Today, using the power of the twin 10 meter Keck telescope at Hawaii, a team of astronomers have clarified just that.

Oceans of water in nearby star!

Herschel Space Obsevatory, a European Space Agency and associated with NASA, finds oceans of water in disk of nearby star. The information collected by this observatory helped the astronomers to detect for the first time, cold water vapor enveloping a dusty disk around a young star.

Space - an opaque?

The space between the galaxies was not transparent; rather it was an opaque i.e., there was a dense fog. But how that fog was cleared is still a major question in the minds of astronomers. New observational evidence from the University Of Michigan shows how high energy light radiation could be responsible for its clearance.

Bigger distances depend upon spotting a blasting star in a distant galaxy, or measuring the expansion of space time itself.

A type 1a supernova has been found in a nearby galaxy called the M101- also called as the Pinwheel galaxy.

Studies of journal Nature provide possibilities of cosmic accidents on August 25 2011 that has been emitting X-rays towards Earth since late march. Astronomers were first alerted of the intense and unusual high-energy flares from the new source in the constellation Draco by NASA's Swift satellite.
